Our Sour Wheat, Roadhouse Rye, and Purple Barley Ciabatta take three days from the first feeding to the loaf coming out of the oven. This time give our sourdough starters the time they need to fully develop the complex flavors of a true artisan bread.
We use the cultivate two different sourdough starters for our Sour Wheat, Roadhouse Rye, and Purple Barley Ciabatta. We feed them different flours and amounts of water, which gives each one a unique aroma and flavor.
While our usual assortment of Sour Wheat, Roadhouse Rye, Purple Barley Ciabatta, French loaves and baguettes are available every day, sweet rolls and French rolls are only available by special order. Challah braids are available by special order or on the weekends.
Call in with your order 48 hrs in advance and we'll make sure you have all the pies, tarts, and bread you'll need. Our menu of pies changes with the season, please check out our currents offerings below.

You can order by calling the Roadhouse at (530) 470-8745. If you'd like to speed up the process, print out one of the order forms below and bring it in. You can also bring in your order form to the taproom, and we'll call you to take payment (payments cannot be made at the taproom). Orders for pies, tarts, and breads can be picked up any time we are open. Check hours here. When you place your order, we'll ask what day and time you would like to pick up your order so we can be sure to have your order ready.
You can place an order at the taproom, and someone from the Roadhouse will call to confirm your order and take payment. An order placed at the taproom is not confirmed until payment has been received. We cannot accept payment at the taproom. Pie, tart, and bread orders can be picked up at the taproom, if specified.
